First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called the Surpass Elite with GUARDian Flow Diverter to treat unruptured brain aneurysms (bulging blood vessels) in the main artery of the brain. About 183 adults aged 18 to 80 will receive the device through a catheter inserted in a leg artery. The goal is to see if the device safely blocks blood flow into the aneurysm, preventing rupture, while avoiding serious complications like stroke or death over 12 months.
