Scientists test hormone blocker to fight severe insulin resistance

NCT ID NCT05470504

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug that blocks growth hormone can help adults with severe insulin resistance caused by rare fat storage disorders. Participants will give themselves daily injections of the drug for one month while researchers measure how their bodies process fat and sugar. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce harmful fat breakdown and improve metabolic health.
