First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at a thin, gel-like layer inside blood vessels called the glycocalyx, which may play a role in heart disease. Researchers will measure this layer in 35 adults with coronary heart disease before and after bypass surgery. The goal is to better understand how blood vessels work and find new markers for heart disease.
