New tests could reveal if kids with celiac disease are secretly eating gluten

NCT ID NCT07157137

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at 140 children aged 2-18 with celiac disease who have been on a gluten-free diet for at least 6 months. Researchers will compare a questionnaire, a urine test, and a stool test to see which method best checks if they are sticking to the diet. The goal is to find easier ways to monitor diet adherence and improve children's nutrition.
