NCT ID NCT04137692
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study is for people with GLUT1 deficiency syndrome, a rare genetic condition that limits glucose (sugar) supply to the brain, often causing seizures and movement problems. The trial will replace the patient's own red blood cells, which lack the glucose transporter, with healthy donor cells to see if this improves brain activity and reduces seizures. The study is currently suspended and aims to enroll 12 participants aged 16 to 80.
