Could a simple monitor help diabetic cancer patients during chemo?
NCT ID NCT04315857
Summary
This study tested whether a continuous glucose monitor (Freestyle Libre) could help track blood sugar levels in diabetic patients starting chemotherapy. Researchers wanted to see if this device could detect dangerous highs and lows in blood sugar that might be caused by cancer treatment. The study involved 103 diabetic patients with various cancers to gather information, not to test a new treatment.
