Scientists test if blocking a 'Food Hormone' stops fat gain

NCT ID NCT06556277

Summary

This study aimed to understand if a stress hormone released when we eat (glucocorticoids) influences how our bodies store fat. Twenty-three overweight and obese men participated. They underwent periods of controlled overeating while receiving either a treatment to block this hormone's natural spike after meals or a placebo, to compare the effects on body fat and metabolism.
