First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a GLP-1 agonist (a type of drug used for diabetes and weight loss) can help restore normal hormone rhythms in obese teenage girls with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Twenty girls aged 12–18 will take the drug for 16 weeks along with diet and exercise advice. Researchers will measure changes in hormone pulses, body composition, and insulin sensitivity to see if the treatment improves reproductive function.
