Summary

This completed study tested a dietary supplement called GLP-1 Booster in 69 overweight adults over 26 weeks. The supplement contains extracts from green tea, gardenia, turmeric, and other herbs, and is designed to increase the body's own GLP-1 hormone to help control blood sugar, reduce appetite, and promote fat loss. Researchers measured changes in blood sugar, insulin, body weight, and body fat compared to a placebo.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
GLP-1 Booster (a dietary supplement containing green tea, gardenia, turmeric, black pepper, fenugreek, ginseng, and white kidney bean extracts)
What this could lead to
If it works, this supplement could offer a natural way to help control blood sugar and support weight loss in overweight adults.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed trial with only 69 participants, and dietary supplements often show limited or inconsistent effects. Results may not apply to everyone.
