Tiny implant could replace daily glaucoma drops for some patients

NCT ID NCT07218796

Summary

This study is testing whether a tiny, slow-release implant placed in the eye during cataract surgery works as well as daily prescription eye drops to control eye pressure in people with mild to moderate glaucoma. The implant is designed to release medication continuously over time. Researchers will compare the implant's safety and effectiveness against the standard timolol eye drops in 400 participants.
