Glaucoma patients may soon ditch daily eye drops for a long-lasting implant
NCT ID NCT07495852
First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This Phase 3 trial tests a second-generation travoprost implant placed inside the eye to lower pressure in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The implant slowly releases medication over time, potentially reducing the need for daily eye drops. About 510 adults will be followed for 3 months to see how well it controls eye pressure.
