New eye scans reveal hidden clues in glaucoma

NCT ID NCT07580014

First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study uses advanced eye scans (OCT and OCTA) to look at the retina and choroid—the layers at the back of the eye—in people with different types of glaucoma. Researchers will compare 132 participants, including healthy volunteers and those with angle-closure or open-angle glaucoma. The goal is to find new patterns that help explain how glaucoma damages vision and to improve future diagnosis.
