First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests two minimally invasive tools—a polishing brush and a ceramic bur—for removing dark pigmentation from gums. Twenty adults with moderate to heavy gum pigmentation will have each side of their mouth treated with a different tool to compare results. The goal is to see which method reduces pigment better, causes less pain, and leads to faster healing.
