Polarized camera snaps true colors of grafted gums
NCT ID NCT07199686
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to measure gum color after free gingival graft surgery using polarized digital photos. Fifty adults who had the surgery at least six months earlier took part. Instead of relying on words like 'pale pink,' researchers used a digital color system to get precise, repeatable measurements. The goal was to better understand how grafted gum tissue looks compared to natural gum tissue.
