First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a new training method for older adults (65+) who are in the hospital and cannot walk. The method combines light leg exercises with a blood flow restriction cuff and a tablet game that responds to muscle signals. The goal is to prevent muscle weakness and help patients regain independence faster. 120 participants will be randomly assigned to either standard physiotherapy or standard therapy plus this game-based training.
