Summary
This study aims to understand whether specialized geriatric care improves outcomes for older adults undergoing surgery. Researchers will compare medical records of 150 patients aged 65+ before and after implementing a new hospital program that provides comprehensive geriatric assessment alongside surgical care. They'll track complications, hospital stays, and mortality rates to see if the specialized approach makes a difference.
