First seen Nov 11, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special geriatric assessment (a thorough check of physical, mental, and emotional health) can help manage side effects and improve quality of life for adults aged 60 and older undergoing radiation for head and neck cancer, as well as their family caregivers. About 36 participants will be assigned to either the geriatric assessment-based supportive care or usual care. The goal is to see if this personalized approach reduces treatment-related toxicities and is feasible to implement.
