NCT ID NCT06114836
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at three common ways to treat GERD (reflux) in babies in the NICU: letting the baby outgrow it naturally, using acid-reducing medicine (PPI), or using a special formula with added rice. About 369 infants with confirmed GERD will be randomly assigned to one of these treatments for four weeks. The goal is to see which approach helps babies feed better and have fewer symptoms like vomiting or coughing.
