Summary
This study tested whether using genetic information to guide surgical wound cleaning (debridement) can improve healing in people with hard-to-heal venous leg ulcers. 41 adults with ulcers between the knee and ankle took part. Researchers analyzed genes and proteins in wound tissue before and after cleaning to see if this approach helps wounds heal faster.
