First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at the DNA of 650 infants who died suddenly and unexpectedly, along with their parents. Researchers want to find genetic changes that might raise the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). By understanding these genetic factors, doctors may one day be able to identify babies at higher risk and help prevent these tragedies.
