First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at whether certain genes make people more likely to develop primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), a progressive liver disease. Researchers collected genetic samples from 1,500 people, including PBC patients and their close relatives. The goal was to identify inherited risk factors, which could lead to better ways to prevent, diagnose, or treat PBC in the future.
