NCT ID NCT03065686
First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study aims to find genetic factors that cause orofacial cleft (cleft lip and palate) by analyzing the DNA of 30 people with the condition whose cause is unknown. Researchers will use a technique called whole exome sequencing to look for gene changes. The goal is to better understand the biology behind this birth defect, not to test a treatment.
