Generic heart pill put to the test
NCT ID NCT07396519
Summary
This study tested whether a new, lower-cost generic version of a heart rhythm drug (dronedarone) works the same way in the body as the existing brand-name version (MULTAQ®). It involved 48 healthy male volunteers who each took both versions of the drug. Researchers measured the drug levels in their blood to see if the two pills were equivalent.
