Generic heart pill put to the test
NCT ID NCT07396519
Summary
This study checked if a new, lower-cost generic version of a heart rhythm drug (dronedarone) works the same in the body as the established brand-name drug (Multaq). It involved 48 healthy male volunteers who each took both pills. Researchers measured drug levels in the blood to see if the two versions were equivalent.
