First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests a gene therapy (AAVAnc80-antiVEGF) given as a single injection into the inner ear for people with a growing vestibular schwannoma (a non-cancerous tumor on the hearing nerve) and profound hearing loss in that ear. The study will check safety and whether the treatment can control tumor growth. About 27 adults will take part.
