Summary
This study aimed to discover new genetic causes of rare lipid (cholesterol and fat) disorders. Researchers used advanced DNA sequencing to analyze genes from 140 participants with unusual lipid conditions and their family members. The goal was to find genetic changes that past methods missed, which could lead to better future diagnosis and treatment.
