Scientists hunt genetic clues to kidney stone mystery
NCT ID NCT07201701
Summary
This study aims to understand whether people with specific genetic changes in the CYP24A1 gene have a higher risk of developing kidney stones. Researchers will compare 45 participants who carry different versions of this gene mutation, looking at their medical history and test results. The goal is to gather knowledge about how genetics influence kidney stone formation, which affects about 10% of people during their lifetime.
