First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study is testing a new type of stent (a small mesh tube) coated with a drug that slowly releases to keep heart arteries open. The stent's coating dissolves over time, which may reduce long-term risks. About 1000 adults with coronary artery disease who need a stent will take part. Researchers will track how well the stent works and its safety over time.
