First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares two chemotherapy drugs—gemcitabine and paclitaxel—in 750 Black Caribbean women with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer who have not yet had treatment for their advanced disease. The goal is to see if gemcitabine, typically used later, works better as a first treatment. Participants will receive one of the two drugs and be monitored for cancer growth, side effects, and quality of life.
