First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a small stomach bypass (gastroenteroanastomosis) to a sleeve gastrectomy can lower the chance of acid reflux after surgery. About 60 adults with obesity will be split into two groups: one gets the bypass added, the other does not. Researchers will check for reflux using symptom questionnaires, endoscopy, and pH monitoring.
