NCT ID NCT04871035

First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study compares two blood-filtering treatments—immunoadsorption and plasma exchange—for people with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare nerve disorder that can cause muscle weakness and paralysis. Researchers will enroll 20 adults to see which treatment is safer and more effective at improving muscle strength and sensation. The goal is to find the best way to control the disease and speed up recovery.
