Gut blood flow mystery: new study targets dizzy spells after meals

NCT ID NCT07381816

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at how blood moves in the gut after eating in people with postprandial hypotension (a drop in blood pressure after meals). Researchers will use MRI scans and a hormone-blocking drug to understand the role of a hormone called GIP. The goal is to learn more about what causes this condition, not to test a new treatment. About 30 participants will take part.
