First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at 46 people with severe obesity who had gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy. Researchers used a special CT scan to measure stomach pouch volume at 3 and 12 months after surgery. The goal was to see if a larger pouch is linked to weight regain, which could help improve future surgeries.
