NCT ID NCT05033041
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at 72 healthy pregnant women having planned C-sections to see if metoclopramide, a drug often given to reduce stomach fluid, actually works when patients have fasted properly. Researchers used ultrasound to measure stomach volume before and after the drug or a placebo. The goal was to find out if the drug provides any real benefit or just causes unnecessary side effects.
