Could skipping a routine drain tube speed up recovery from stomach cancer surgery?
NCT ID NCT07029269
Summary
This study is testing if patients recover just as well from a common stomach cancer surgery when doctors skip placing a routine drain tube in the abdomen. It will compare two groups of patients following the same enhanced recovery plan, with the only difference being the use of this tube. The goal is to see if omitting the tube is safe and can help patients get home sooner with a better quality of life.
