Could skipping a drain tube speed up recovery from stomach cancer surgery?

Summary
This study is testing if patients recover just as well after keyhole stomach cancer surgery when doctors do not use a standard abdominal drain tube. It will compare two groups of patients following the same enhanced recovery plan, with the only difference being the use of the drain tube. The main goal is to see if skipping the tube is safe and does not lead to more problems requiring another procedure within 30 days.
