First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested a "gas bubble technique" to see if it could reduce damage to the cornea (the clear front part of the eye) after cataract surgery in people with hard cataracts. Eighty adults aged 18 to 80 who needed surgery for a hard cataract took part. The approach involves placing a gas bubble inside the eye to protect the cornea during recovery.
