Eye surgeons test gentle gas bubble to shield vision during cataract operations

NCT ID NCT06636279

Summary

This study tested a new surgical method called the 'Gas Bubble Technique' during cataract surgery. It aimed to see if this technique could protect the delicate inner layer of the cornea from damage, which is a common risk. Researchers followed 80 patients with dense cataracts for one month after surgery to measure cell loss and recovery.
