Summary
This study tested a new method called the 'gas bubble technique' to reduce damage to the cornea (the clear front part of the eye) after cataract surgery in people with very hard cataracts. 80 adults aged 18-80 who needed surgery for hard cataracts took part. The approach involves placing a small gas bubble inside the eye to help the cornea heal and recover its cells.
