First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested a non-invasive brain stimulation method called tACS in 17 people with early to moderate Alzheimer's. The goal was to see if daily sessions over 2-4 weeks could safely reduce amyloid and tau buildup in the brain and improve memory and thinking. Participants received either real or sham (placebo) stimulation, and researchers measured changes using brain scans and cognitive tests.
