First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at two approaches for people with mild pancreatitis caused by gallstones who choose not to have their gallbladder removed. One group gets a procedure called endoscopic sphincterotomy (using a scope to open the bile duct), while the other group receives standard care without the procedure. The goal is to see which approach better prevents future pancreatitis attacks. About 30 adults will take part.
