Experimental injection trial aims to speed healing in devastating skin condition

NCT ID NCT02739295

Summary

This study tested whether G-CSF injections could help patients with toxic epidermal necrolysis, a severe skin reaction where large areas of skin peel off. Ten patients were randomly assigned to receive either G-CSF injections or placebo for five days. Researchers measured how quickly skin healed and tracked blood cell counts to see if the treatment was effective.
