New drug trial aims to slow vision loss from 'Dry' macular degeneration

Summary
This study tests a new drug called FWY003 in people with geographic atrophy, an advanced form of age-related macular degeneration that causes blind spots. The goal is to see if different doses can slow the growth of damaged areas in the eye. About 272 adults aged 50 and older will receive either FWY003 or a placebo by injection into the eye, and researchers will monitor vision changes and side effects over time.
