Can daydreaming about your future help you quit smoking?
NCT ID NCT05825001
Summary
This study is testing whether a mental exercise called 'episodic future thinking' can help people smoke fewer cigarettes. Participants are asked to vividly imagine positive events they look forward to happening in the next year. Researchers will measure changes in smoking by checking breath carbon monoxide levels to see if this future-focused thinking helps reduce cigarette use.
