New combo therapy aims to shrink rare abdominal tumors before surgery

Summary
This study tests whether giving a short, high-dose course of radiation along with immunotherapy before surgery is safe and effective for people with retroperitoneal sarcoma, a rare cancer in the abdomen. About 28 adults whose tumors are hard to remove completely will receive this combination treatment. The main goal is to see how many patients have serious side effects or complications from the treatment.
