New 'Shot' version of common heart drug tested for easier use
NCT ID NCT06167707
Summary
This study tested a new way to give a common fluid-removing drug called furosemide. Researchers compared a single injection given just under the skin using a special auto-injector pen to the standard method of giving the drug slowly into a vein. The goal was to see how the body absorbs and responds to the drug with each method and to check the safety and comfort of the new injection. The study involved 21 healthy volunteers who received both types of injections at different times.
