First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether eating foods with extra fiber, polyphenols, omega-3, and special starch for 9 weeks could reduce low-level inflammation in 62 adults with belly fat and higher body weight. Participants ate either fortified or standard foods, and researchers measured inflammation markers in the blood before and after a high-carb, high-fat meal. The goal was to see if these ingredients work together to lower heart and metabolic risks.
