Freeze or burn? new study pits two Nerve-Blocking techniques against chronic back pain
NCT ID NCT06804551
Summary
This study aims to see if a newer treatment that freezes nerves (iovera°) works as well as the standard treatment that burns them (radiofrequency ablation) for chronic low back pain. Thirty adults with long-term back pain that hasn't improved with other therapies will receive one of the two procedures. Researchers will track their pain levels and quality of life for one year to compare the results.
