Is physical therapy worth the cost for a frozen shoulder?
NCT ID NCT02283996
Summary
This study aims to find out if adding physical therapy to steroid injections is better for treating frozen shoulder than just getting the injections and waiting. Researchers will enroll 260 adults with frozen shoulder and randomly assign them to one of two groups. One group will get steroid injections and regular physical therapy, while the other will get the injections and then be monitored without therapy. The main goal is to see if the extra cost and effort of physical therapy leads to significantly better shoulder function after one year.
