Playtime before surgery calms kids and parents, study finds

Summary
This study looks at whether letting children aged 4-10 play freely for 30 minutes before surgery can reduce their fear and anxiety, as well as their parents' anxiety. About 70 children and their parents will take part, with half playing and half receiving usual care. Researchers will measure fear and anxiety levels before and after play to see if it helps.
