NCT ID NCT05694338
First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at 100 adults with gastrointestinal cancer who are scheduled for major surgery. Researchers want to see if frailty—symptoms like weight loss, weakness, and low activity—is more common in rural or urban patients. Participants will fill out a survey, give a blood sample, and allow their medical records to be reviewed. The goal is to find patients at higher risk for problems after surgery so doctors can better prepare and support them.
